LEADERSHIP & ME
Welcome to My Workspace.
This is my space where I am able to share my opinions, my inspirations, and my perspectives on leadership in hopes to inspire others like me.
My name is Amy Belgum and I am an aspiring young professional woman. I am 22 years old and will be graduating in December of 2016 from San Diego State University where I majored in Hospitality and Tourism Management with my emphasis in Meetings and Event Operations.

Maybe having a last name that starts with a ‘B’ had me volunteering even at a very young age to always be the line leader in school, but I have always known that I was born to lead others and that I wanted to do it. From the way I have always naturally taken charge of situations, to how easy it came for me to delegate roles and tasks to others. I love to lead other because I love being able to help others accomplish their goals. If I see a better option or a way that my talents can help others, I want to be able to use them for the benefit of everyone. And I believe that my natural ability to see others talents and use them is one of my strongest qualities as a leader. I know what I lack, and I seek out others that are able to compensate for what I cannot do, and together we are able to accomplish our goals.
I look up to women in the workplace and how they are able to strongly lead others with their actions, and my hope is that one-day someone will look to me for leadership advice based on my work ethics and achievements in the workplace. That is my goal and that is how I choose to present myself as a young aspiring leader.
