IN CONCLUSION
Throughout my blogging experience this semester, I am grateful for the experiences that I was able to grow from. I was able to determine what my passions are and what really drives me. My theme for this blog was women empowerment, and I just wanted to fill it with support for women in the workplace that need a little extra encouragement. One of my favorite hobbies is Pinterest and I loved being able to connect my blog to my personal Pinterest where I found a lot of my inspiration for myself. Being a young woman comes with many speed bumps along the way, but I am just trying to enjoy my journey. Taking this blog week-to-week and adding more of myself to each post was a great way for me to creatively put some of my thoughts into words. When I was reading the book, From Good to Great, my boyfriend was surprised to see me reading it because he said that it looked like a book that he would enjoy. I quickly corrected him and let him know that I am trying to learn how to go from good things to great things in my own life everyday and this book was great at offering a map to accomplish this (but I let him read the book after I was done with it, don't worry).
I think that my favorite part of this blog was making the website. I started as a graphic design major and enjoy reading lots of healthy blogs that I find, and it gave me the encouragement to know that I can do this too! I no longer read blogs and wish that I was one of those girls that don’t exist outside the computer, but I now look at their layouts and images and take note on what I like or don't like about their websites. This blog gave me the ability to know that I can do this. I can make a website, and make it look good. I can put my thoughts into words that people may relate too, because they are going though similar situations. I enjoy blogging and I hope to continue with a different blog after this class is over. My hope is that my strong women in the workplace idea is seen as a stepping stone in my career development and that I can take my own advice and stay positive with my career endeavors.
