TRAITS & ME
When asked what traits that I admire in a leader, it’s easy to think about some influential women in our culture today that I can refer traits from that I aim to employ myself one day. I admire strong women, women who are self-empowered and self-confident. I think of Beyoncé and her girl power movement to empower women with a special confidence and attitude that you can slay anything that comes at you. I think of traits like humility and leading by example, and I think of Kate Middleton. The way she uses her leadership role as a Duchess to show kindness to others exemplifies the selfless attitude that she has to help serve her people. I admire the realness and humor that Sarah Silverman offers and her attitude about women’s rights and empowerment. She is able to educate and lead women in politics with her humor and opinions and influence them to know what they are worth.
These are all traits that as a leader, I hope others can see in me with my words and actions. I want to lead with a confidence in knowing who I am and what I can do and having the knowledge and work experience to be able to back it all up. I hope to be kind and humble and never feel above others, but just in a better position to help them. I hope to strive to continually learn and grow to improve myself and in tern, be able to become a better leader to others.
